Ten Thousand hours

I just recently discovered a new blog that I really like, its by another fellow sewer named Victoria. The idea behind her blog is ten thousand hours to mastery or expert level,in her case an expert seamstress. The ten thousand hours idea itself is not her making up but the result of a finding by Daniel Levitin   I think in most cases if not all, when someone has a hobby, career , sport, or other activity they love, expert level is an ideal goal. So I decided to use this idea for myself for becoming an expert clothing designer, patternmaker and seamstress, the break down is this: Ten thousand hours over the course of ten years which break down to 1000 hours per year, or 83.33 hours per month, or roughly 21 hours per week, or 3 hours a day. Now as a busy mother of 8 I don't plan to put in those hours right away but now I at least now have a goal to work towards.  Now she has a lot more hours than me, so I'll be starting my time from zero and I'll start clocking my hours next month God- Willing. I'll also start my self designed pattern making course but I'll start that this week coming.
